The RBE works under a structure that is arranged by markets. This enables us to look more easily at whole markets and to use all the tools available to us to improve them if they are not operating effectively. We will use market studies and references, management, education and communication in whatever combination is appropriate. Executive Office located in La Marsa (Tunisia) is responsible for the Maghreb and worldwide missions.
FINANCE AND MICROFINANCE ACTIVITIES
In the Finance and Microfinance sector, RBE’s objectives are to contribute to the professionalization of the three traditional levels of the operational actors :
• Banks and Microfinance Institutions ;
• Professional Organizations representing the sector, including the activities of training and coaching ;
• Control and Supervising Authorities of the sector
To meet these objectives, RBE’s interventions can be summarized in three major groups of activities :
• Institutional consulting
Assistance and support to local organizations in charge of controlling and supervising the finance and microfinance activities, in order to professionalize the structures and methodologies enabling these organizations to develop, supervise and control the different actors on the field.
• Training
o Training of the staff of Banking and Microfinance Institutions. Depending on the needs and background of the staff, the training programs can either be technical in specific financial topics, or oriented towards capacity building in management techniques (strategic planning, organizational management, marketing, accounting, control, etc…) ;
o Training of the existing or potential customers of Banking and Microfinance Institutions, in order for these customers to better understand the credit processes and to enable them to present their credit applications in a professional and understandable way.
• Coaching – Audit
These include for example :
o Missions of temporary assistance and coaching of the management of Development Banks and Microfinance Institutions ;
o Management, organizational and operational audits of institutions specialized in the support and financing of SME.
More and more however, RBE is diversifying its activities towards a wider range of the economic development fields (education – water – agriculture …).
All its missions are executed based on contracts obtained from Tunisian or foreign contractors.
